Chia Oil - A Multi-Purpose Summertime Problem Solver

Summertime is here, meaning we get to look forward to hot, sunny days and no shortage of sunscreen. It’s called bikini season for a reason: the heat of a summer day forces us to show a little more skin. With this in mind, it’s important to keep your beautiful skin hydrated and at its healthy best. And that inevitably leads us to highlight nature’s skin superhero: chia. With high levels of omega fatty acids, antioxidants, and essential minerals, chia oil is a simple, natural and effective way to feed your skin with the nutrition it needs and is craving.

But chia oils aren’t just great for skin health. In the mood to get experimental? Check out some inventive ways to put your chia oil to amazing use!

Did you take in a lil’ too much sun during a day at the beach?

Gently rub or press chia oil onto the sunburned skin for intense hydration and beneficial antioxidants to help heal and soothe your skin.

Is your foundation or BB cream a little too heavy for summer?

Just place a few drops of chia oil mixed in with your foundation or BB cream and it will help thin your formulation out a bit, making it effortless to apply and lightweight on your skin.

Looking for a great new primer?

Ah, look no further beauties. Place 3 to 5 drops of chia oil in your hands and gently press onto your skin. Allow 1 to 2 minutes for oil to fully absorb, then begin your makeup ritual. You’ll be amazed at how flawless and dewy your makeup will look!

Does your hair feel dried out and flat?

Simply place a few drops of chia oil into your hands, rub them together, and comb through your hair to give a healthy, glowing sheen. Omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants are amazing for the hair, and chia oil is chock full of these ingredients. Talk about luscious locks!

Is your mascara dry and flaky?

Just drip 2 to 3 drops of chia oil into your mascara tube, insert the wand, and swirl it in a circular motion. Be careful not to “pump” your mascara wand up and down, as that will only bring more air into the tube and further dry things up. Also, please do not use mascara that is past its shelf life.

Do you have rough cuticles?

A few drops of chia oil rubbed onto your nail beds can provide long-lasting hydration. Apply to clean hands just before bed to allow for maximum moisture. Or apply the waterless balm with heated mitts for a spa-like experience. Oooh, yes please.

Do you have razor burn from shaving – ahem- sensitive areas?

Simply press and pat your chia oil onto the affected areas for immediate relief.
